Another day, another health-care audit in Washington.This time it s the Indian Health Service, which provides medical services to about 1.9 million American Indians and Alaska natives, that s under fire for losing about $16 million worth of equipment and fabricating documents to paper over the problems, according to Congressional investigators.Among the 5,000 plus items that went AWOL from 2004 through 2007: Caterpillar tractors, Jaws of Life rescue equipment, and a computer containing sensitive data, including Social Security numbers and health records of 849 uranium miners, according to ...
