A New Medicare Honcho--For Now

President Bush today named Kerry Weems acting chief of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Bush nominated Weems for the permanent job in May, but the Senate s still deciding whether to approve the nomination. It s been a revolving door for temps at CMS since Mark McClellan decamped last year to become a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
