Magnetic Nanoparticles as Safe, Long Lasting Contrast Agents

Philips and the University of Urbino in Italy are teaming up to develop magnetic nanoparticles that can translocate themselves inside red blood cells, and as such would act as a long lasting and, hopefully, non-harmful contrast agent.
