Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a complex health condition involving high blood pressures in the arteries of the lung. A patient may have PH due to inadequate oxygen in the blood, as in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD emphysema and chronic bronchitis) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
