Nigeria and Niger agree to fight H5N1

Via the Daily Triumph: Jigawa, Maradi sign MOU . The two states share a border between Nigeria and Niger. Their governors have signed a memorandum of understanding to improve some joint activities. Excerpt:According to the communiqu , the two states would partner to eradicate poliomyelitis, measles as well as animal diseases, including Avian Influenza (bird flu) and plant pests.The two states would also cooperate to develop agriculture through research and development of sorghum, cassava, cow pea, groundnut, millet and wheat....
